Build-a-Band Project
This was probably the most fun project that we have done all year. Our class studied sound waves for about a week and from there we began to create three different instruments; string instrument, wind instrument, and percussion instrument. My team created a string instrument that resembled a bass guitar, a clarinet, chimes, and a drum.
Reflection
This project has taught me many things things. I learned which tools will be more effective for what I want to do. I used a hammer instead of a sledge hammer to create the indentations in the drum. At first, I didn't have a sledge hammer to work with but now I know for the future. I also learned how to be a better leader. A good leader knows when they are wrong and need to change plans. I thought my drum was going to work and be consistent and nobody thought my drum was going to work which made me want it to work even more. I realized that I was wasting my time working on it and that we needed to change the plans.
Somethings that went well during this project were the ideas that we came up with and our ability to come to an agreement. Everyone had really ideas for our instruments which made it really easy to come to a conclusion. When ever anyone had a question or a dispute we all had something to say and we compromised.
Some things that didn't go well was our time management and focus. We all really liked each other which made it hard to stay focused and we would loose track of time but in the end we finished it.

Pits: Our lack of time management skills, when the drum wasn't working
